If you're heading to Qatar for work, there's a good chance you'll deal with the Qatar Visa Center (QVC) before you ever board a plane. It's a government-authorized setup that handles all your pre-arrival formalities in your home country — the medical test, your fingerprints and photo (biometrics), and signing your employment contract — so everything is verified before you travel, not after you land.

Who uses the Qatar Visa Center?
QVC mainly serves applicants from six countries:

- 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka
- 🇵🇭 Philippines
It covers employment visas and family visas. Tourist visas go through the Hayya portal instead.
What happens at a QVC appointment?
Everything is done in one visit at a QVC center in your home country:
- Biometric enrollment — fingerprints and facial scan, linked to your future Qatar ID.
- Medical examination — done in the center's own lab, so results can't be faked or duplicated.
- Employment contract signing — the contract is explained to you in your own language before you sign.

How to track your application on the QVC website
- Go to www.qatarvisacenter.com.
- Select your country and preferred language.
- Click Track Application in the top menu.
- Enter your passport number and your visa reference number (provided by your employer or recruitment agent when the application was first submitted).
- Complete the CAPTCHA and click Submit.
Checking is free. Your result shows which stage your application is currently in.

Completing biometrics or medical tests does not mean your visa is issued. The QVC tracker shows intermediate stages that the MOI portal doesn't. The final visa approval still appears on the MOI portal — always confirm there (see how to check by passport number).
